Teiryn (テイリン, Tei Rin) is a
Appearance[]
Teiryn is a giraffe Beast, thus he resembles a humanoid giraffe, including the golden and brown spotted fur, ossicles, and having a long neck. He wears a captain's uniform and hat, signifying his rank and status as a guard captain. He typically has a relaxed yet focused facial expression.
Personality[]
Teiryn presents himself as a dutiful and composed man, reminding those under his command to fulfill their duties in a proper and professional manner, and to be on guard for any potential threats. He sets himself apart from other Beats by how he shows no prejudice of any kind, not to Sariphi (a human) nor to Lanteveldt (a Hyena Beast), showing greater tolerance and no hints of any bigotries that other Beasts have no qualms in showing.
Teiryn appears to judge people by their character and actions rather than their species or background, and he displays an open mind as well as greater professional conduct than the soldiers under his command or the politicians he answers to.
He had no issues at all working with Sariphi in order to determine the true culprit of whoever attacked Braun Breuse, and even pointed out that Sariphi, being a human, could identify the attacker's fur color, allowing them to find and arrest the true culprit.
Teiryn also shows he firmly believes in responsibility, holding himself accountable for the attack since his soldiers neglected their post, giving the attacker the opportunity to attack Braun, believing he would be either demoted or outright fired. But he appreciated Sariphi and Lante's assurances and encouragement, saying that while he was the commanding officer his mens' actions reflect more on themselves, and so they parted as friends, with Sariphi and Teiryn both hoping to meet again one day.
History[]
Plot[]
He is with Sariphi when she goes around town to look for the culprit that attacked Braun.
Relationships[]
Sariphi[]
When they met, Teiryn displayed no prejudice or bigotry towards Sariphi (a human) whatsoever. He treated her with courtesy and respect per her status as the Acting Queen, and even worked with her in finding the culprit responsible for attacking Braun, and noting Sariphi's contribution to the investigation and they would not have found the real attacker without her (since humans can see in more colors than most beasts).
When the time came for sari phi to leave, they parted as friends and both hoped to see each other again one day.
