Set (セト, Seto) was the overarching antagonist of the Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts series, serving as one of the overarching antagonists of the first half and one of the main antagonists (along with Fenrir) of the second half. Set was employed as a judge of the laws.
Appearance[]

It's unknown what beast race Set belonged to, but he had dog-like features much like Anubis has. He was a beast with black and white fur, white eyes and fourth claws. He looked similar to his mother since he mentioned that his mother's species is rare case.
He wore a white formal long sleeved robe with frills with yellow, with a belt around the waist.
Personality[]
Set appears as a calm, soft-spoken individual and handles things with a composed demeanor. He spoke in a formal manner, but beneath the calm exterior hid a clever, silver-tongued schemer who held his true motivations and nature close to his chest. As a member of the beast race, he naturally held a very negative view toward humankind in general, but accepted Sariphi's presence because he made a vow to be loyal toward Leonhart no matter what.
It's strongly hinted to that Set had a sadistic side, perhaps enjoying torturing criminals to force a confession either as truth or a lie, not caring if the criminal dies or lives; first shown when he explains to the council of the bandits' fates which greatly upsets Leonhart.
Having been misled by his mother for all his life, Set believed himself to be of royal blood, and thus sought to rise in status and even take the throne for himself, believing his supposed royal blood gave him that right. When he thought he uncovered proof that Leonhart was an illegitimate heir and a half-breed, Set showed his true colors in revealing this truth to the people to turn them against Leonhart and remove him from the throne.
Unlike Leonhart, however, rather than unite the people, Set imposed new policies to divide them into castes based on their species, segregating the non-mammal Beasts while raising mammal Beasts above them.
When Leonhart, Sariphi, and their allies stopped Set's tyranny and exposed the truth, Set was devastated to learn he was not royal at all because the prior king had been sterile, thus he could not possibly father a child. He found out when he tried to raise his power to match Leonhart's, but ended up gravely wounding himself due to the overuse of the forbidden spell-book from the Forbidden Library. During his last moments before his death, Sariphi held his hand as he slowly died, giving him comfort that nobody ever gave him since his mother's passing.

Early Life[]
When Set was a child, his mother told him that he was a true royal blood. But unbeknownst to Set, the former king was unable to have a child and therefore, his mother signed a fake certificate of authenticity presented by Capel which means Set was not an official member of the royal bloodline of Ozmargo. This, combined with Set's insecurities of his species and not having Leonhart's features, led Set to an erroneous belief that he was the legitimate heir of Ozmargo.
Plot[]
As a high judge, Set holds the second highest authority, second only to Leonhart, regarding upholding law and order, and passing judgment on other individuals who have committed crime within the palace.
Set was introduced to Sariphi after two hired bandits snuck into the palace to kill Sariphi's sacred beast, the phoenix, Bennu. He then proclaimed that the two bandits committed suicide during the interrogation and they most likely wanted to kill Sariphi "just" because she was a human, much to Leonhart and Anubis's displeasure.[1]

- Set has little screen time until his debut in Episode 6. Mostly because Set spends most of his time in the Forbidden Library which is why Sariphi never had any proper interactions with him before.
- He is named after the ancient Egyptian deity.
