Bolas (ボラス, Bōrasu) is a minor character of the Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts series.
Appearance[]
Bolas is a black bat-like beastkind with large pointed ears, vertical slit pupils, and small bat-like wings on his arms. He looks very similar to his mother.[1] He wears a blue outfit with a yellow square detailing around the neckline. [2]
Plot[]
While out on the main avenue of the capital, Bolas becomes separated from his mother. He becomes so upset that all he can do is sit against the outside wall of a building and sob. Eventually, he is spotted by Sariphi and Leonhart who are in disguise. Sariphi offers to help him find his mother. [1]
While holding Bolas, Sariphi and Leo search for his mother. Bolas soon becomes upset when he is unable to see his mother in any of the places that they search. Sariphi reassures Bolas that they will find her soon, and they continue looking. [1]
Soon after, Bolas's mother sees Bolas sitting on top of Leonhart's head. While Bolas's mother is thanking Sariphi for finding her son, Bolas unexpectedly jumps off of Leonhart's head. Sariphi is able to catch Bolas before he hits the ground, but this causes her disguise to fall off. When Bolas's mother realizes that Sariphi is human, she immediately snatches Bolas out of Sariphi's hands. Bolas is surprised that Sariphi is a human. Other beastfolk in the area soon realize that Sariphi is a human, so Leo takes Sariphi away from the crowd.[1]
On the day of the Grand Consecration, Bolas travels with his mother to palace. They stand in the crowd as Leonhart gives a speech about the importance of progress. Bolas and his mother cheer for Leonhart.[3]
Later on, Bolas's mother hears a rumor that someone claiming to be the King of Wolves is planning on invading Ozmargo. He travels with his mother to the royal palace to find out if the capital is under attack. As they are waiting in the crowd, Bolas spots the king coming out of the palace and points out the king's appearance to his mother. Leonhart reassures everyone in the crowd that he will protect Ozmargo from any potential invaders.[4]
A few days after Leonhart's human form is revealed, Bolas and his mother travel to the royal palace to hear the king speak. Leonhart announces his intentions to create a kingdom where no one is discriminated by species or origin and to protect Ozmargo with Sariphi ruling at his side. Bolas excitedly cheers for Leonhart.[5]

Unnamed Mother[]
Being separated from his mother causes him to become very upset. When he finally finds her, he is so excited to see her that he jumps towards her without realizing that she won't be able to catch him.
Sariphi[]
Sariphi finds Bolas when he is lost and hurt on the main street of the capital. She comforts him and helps him to find his mother. Sariphi's disguise keeps Bolas from realizing that she is human, and, when he eventually finds out, he is shocked that she is not a beastfolk like him.
