Information |
Calra (カルラ, Kara) is the queen of Sarbul and the mother of Tetra and Calcara.
Appearance[]
She wears a formal attire.
Personality[]
At first glance, Calra appears to be a regal and fair queen. But this conceals the truth of her character as a prejudiced and even petty woman who shirks her duties as a mother under the mistaken belief that her actions are to protect her child when they are actually a nuanced obsession with being a "proper" queen.
While she greeted Sariphi courteously, she concealed her true thoughts against the aspiring queen simply because she is a human and did not want for her to so much as touch her infant son. As such, she did everything she could to prevent Sariphi from performing her duty to bless the little prince, going as far as to upset the child and make him cry. But she could not conceal her prejudice from Sariphi, who could see a cold look in Calra's eyes.
After witnessing her daughter, Tetra, nearly fall to her death and Sariphi saving her, Calra realized she had neglected her children and finally judged Sariphi for her actions rather than her species, showing she is capable of acknowledging her mistakes and learning from them. As such, Calra permitted for the ceremony to go on and even warmed up to Sariphi, humbly requesting for her to remain a true friend to Tetra.

Calcara[]
Because of the royal family traditions and the pressure of her role as queen, Calra was happy to finally give birth to Calcara, a male heir, but she only took care of her son to fulfill her duty as a queen and not from a mother. She is overprotective of Calcara because she initially didn't want Sariphi to touch him, because she is human.
When Tetra was saved, by Sariphi, Calra understood that, she was wrong to only take care of Calcara and not her others childrens, especially Tetra, and, since then she has helped her take care of Calcara, by trusting her. After this event, Calra trusts Sariphi and, allows her to bless her son.
Sariphi[]
At first, Calra hated Sariphi, because she was a human. She interacted with her formally, when they first met, but she looked at her, with cold eyes that, reminded Sariphi of the cold unloving eyes of her adoptive parents. Throughout her stay, Calra did everything she could to keep Sariphi from blessing Calcara, until the time came for her to leave, which would leave Sariphi in disgrace.
Calra's feelings towards Sariphi changes after her daughter, Tetra almost throws herself off the tower rooftop under the belief that, Calra doesn't love her, which causes Calra to realize that, her fixation on her new-born son was really her fixation on being a proper "queen", and as a result, she was neglecting Tetra as a mother. She thanks Sariphi for saving her daughter both physically and emotionally, and, allows her to bless her son's birth, as well as interact, with him. Before she leaves, Calra asks Sariphi to continue being Tetra's friend, which she happily accepts.
Later, Calra happily attends Sariphi and Leonhart's wedding, with her family.
